1 Day projects / Unit 78

We had to find an object no bigger the 4 cm by 4 cm and work with it I found a chestnut I thought of developing ideas around it thinking of trees trough and other stuff  but decided to do a simple composition with blooming chestnut at first but then we got told to use bigger brushes and work a bit abstract  and thatch how I came up with this final painting.

We was given a random color i got blue and i had to work from it thinking laterally to things that can relate to the color and make an interesting image. Blue wasn't  a simple one there is sky and water that a very simple and in not done properly can be boring and unappealing, we had to brain storm this and think of all different composition that was relating to the color I thought pride, relaxation, vacations, sky = space =stars =aliens thinking like that with couple things when my need side had awaken and i thought Mana all games wizards and caters use mana and is usually referenced in a blue bar so i thought lack of  and came up with a wizard casing a spell with out mana witch isn't good

We also did some landscape drawings referencing palpitated picture to make us think and try to make the sharpens in it , at first we used charcoal and ...... just really going dark in the dark zones and really going wight in the light areas truing to bring it out with the contrast after that I had to work from the drawing  I made to make a painting to using cold colors at the back and worm in the front using neutral grays as well on it

(it riped a bit)

At the star we had a look at color theory we were experimenting with the paint to increase our knowledge  about them so that our work would have more depth and expression in it with all the neutral colors.
I did some color swatches to she how they react with each other we was told to use all 3 primal colors Red,Yellow and Blue in different proportions  to get a different color and the add withe to bring out its true color we also did some work with neutral grays that meant to help us with the depth and distance.

(there ate two but they got stock together with paint as i didn't wait until it dried out  )
