Transformation in to the bell

So I decided to transform my card box structure in to a bell after some one suggested to me that I would hang it up. so it start i had to make it more even and have more of a bell shape so i saw of the top of it at an angle and then I did cut small bits of cardboard out build up over the hole to create a sphere shape at the top of it i taped it on and the covered it in paper and glue again  over the top of it


I will build on it with possible plaster bandage as it  would take very long time to create the big amount of paper mashe

Composition is subject mater ,form ,content, medium, technique it is what the artist is tying to translate in to a peace and to show his mind it is also taking every thing in the painting in to the consideration and having it organised and using the correct technique that will help it have the right form remember to use the 8 rules of the composition

mise en scene it means what is put into a scene or frame It is a composition in a fiscal world scene/ film so that it informs the viewers of contents and the mood for the viewers through the layout =of the stage to help to lead the viewers to have conclusion. It can include setting, props, costume, hair,make up , face expressions, body language ,colour, lighting and the layout of earthing on the scene


semiotics the are symbols that that can be put in to 3 categories and a artist can modify the impact of a work peace by using a different one the are iconic when the symbol is looking like what it is representing, Symbolic the mining of symbolic sing must be learnt and is not necessary represent what it is, Indexical is a clue it has a peruse of linking meanings. the can all be used in a work of an art but it can be a enforces on one of them to make it have different effect and can appeal to a different audience

visual narrative its simply telling a story through a image a image can tell a lot about whats is happening in a certain scene and it also can be formed in to different parts that can be combined linear it can show the passage of time and space in one image, aggregate a non temporal relation ship between the objects in a a single composition formed from many parts, Paneled its as same as the previous ones but its shown in multiple sequences of a image. the visual narrative has also a high enfesise on a semiotics as it can help to translate a meaning to a viewer.

I think that for my area of interest the visual narrative is the best area to focus one and learn the meaning of it more to help me with telling story through the images and being able to tell a any kind of story with out using worlds.all the other options are still relevant to  telling a story its all important  for it to have a better visual impact. composition would help to keep proportions the mise en scene would make the back ground that would to have nice visuals and semiotics would help to give hints and symbolise certand tings with in the image .

We had a lesson where we were told to revers and reflect our manifesto so we could call bad things good or create our own utopia the perfect world and we got told to create more than one peace and be experimental so by writing the ideas to our stop motion because we wanted to cary on experimenting with the stop motion and increase our ability's with it. and by writing the ideas I and my classmate had decided to make it in to a video scribe we recorded it and seeded it up i think that it is ok but i thing that it would be better if it had more pictures on it maybe colours and maybe add music to the video to make it a bit more enjoyable

Surrealism have got started through the Dada and it means some thing that is surreal that would not have place to exist in the real world however it was shown to eyes of people through art (in my opinion it had the strongest impact through paintings but in can be shown  through all kind media structure costume sculpture ext.) Andre Breton was the person how wright the surreal manifesto in the 20th centre and it means the truth behind the real because the the must reality stuff is in your head

I worked with a partner to make our manifesto and we had presided it through a stop motion we had made our own peaces of automatic writing that had converted to a story so we made quick storyboard and design because we had to do it in one day we had so we decide to use black and white over the colour paper because it we thought it would have a better impact on the viewer
we had small amount of black paper so we had to use black paint to colour the selected area and the we cute them out in parts (head with no mouths so the could be replaced an moved about to have that impression of speaking, the body and the limbs had been separate as well so the would be able to move them on the video) there is a small complication with with the quality in the mid of it but you could say that the quality decreases jus like quality of life. in the video politics are presented as clowns and it shows the your opinion can be censored and how the planet and nature are being destroyed.
 

The next day we had time to take our work further so me and my classmate decided to recreate the stop motion as we where not in a big rush like we where in the first time which allowed us to create more detail avoid the mistakes we had made before such as the decrease in the quality.

Box expirience

On that day we where told to great a box environment that would be a dark space that we would sit in and get some visual research from inside of it, we had to created the box structure with out using anting else than the box so i had to use slots to hold the peaces of card board together which worked well

I wanted to have a pyramid top which has made my work  harder I thought of a some different ideas to and was testing them out if they would work but finally i thought that having a peace  of cardboard and rolling it up in to a pointy cone and placing it on the top of the structure but I ripped a layer of a carton box to make it more flexible so it had more chance of forming a cone it was hard to archive but I did it however i had to make some cuts in the bottom of it so it would fit over the top of the card box structure it worked ok however there was a bunch of light coming through which made the experience less exiting as I recorded my feelings from inside the box with pictures and text in the sketch book


then we were allowed to use other materials to extend our work so with tape i made my structure solid and have much less light coming through that had changing the experience however it was still brighter than i would like it to be, I had to look around the box to spot any interesting details shapes or streams of light because we are working on our idea generation trying to see something interesting where on a first glance you see nothing interesting.

At first I decided to show my emotions by painting the out side of the structure trying to show my experience from inside the box but I was not happy with the final outcome


the structure I had created was big and had an interesting form I thought I resembles a hut / a bell and a bird cage so I thought it would be interesting if i transform the form to look like an actual bell that people can sneak under and look inside where some work would be display.
To transform the structure i decided to with with PVA glue and newspapers so I covered the structure in newspapers using the glue and it made it firm, to have more bell apparel ill have to cut the top diagonally and build it up again to have more rounded shape at the top and a wanted to thicken it a some parts with papermache.
