review and analysis

* The idea being my story is about my way and thoughts of going to college and learning new stuff I had tried to empathise the use of humour as its seams common and successful thing in illustrations I got that from my researcher, I had included the thoughts and things that where happening in the way through college and chose the right path for me. But I haven't included any specific moments from my life because nothing special happened while I was applying to college that would be influencing my decision, so I keep it pretty simple and straight forward.



*One of Almu Redondo illustrations had heavy influence in my character design with the way he had drawn the dreads in his "man and pet" illustration. I also like how he coloured his work and the light use of out lines having them more defined in only certain areas that needed more separation and underlining the rest of it looks like it slightly darker than the main colour. Redondo had influenced me with a simple design on the face features such as round eyes and such other things in human form that had been simplify but keeping the human form and making it appealing to the viewers.



* The structure of my comic strip seams clear to me it has a simple flow form left to the right with wonky sections that separate the cells. Maybe it would look better if each cell had or didn't have a text box at the bottom to make it more aesthetic.



*The illustration seems like a good representation of my self I had identified the key features to create my character. I could develop the background more, but it seems OK with the character being the vocal and main point of the hat views is meant to focus on when looking at the comic but filling the space with colours that look good as well.



*The visual I think it's good in my opinion, its easy to get engaged in the in the deep colours and the good illustration that has interesting look to it that can appeal to many people.



*I will develop my work to make it stronger by developing the structure of the cells as well as scanning the the image and enhancing it in photoshop, as well as improve the line work to make it a lot cleaner and maybe possibly use more colours to enhance the image. Also I would experiment more with different media more to maybe achieve better visual effect or
something that might appeal to a different audience.

experimenting

So I have to do some experimenting  to figure out what exactly do i want to do for this project which is to make a composition of a human form in constructed environment so just like the costume design but to do it in 2D to make it on a paper.

So after looking on my life drawing I decided to test out some stuff  different materials and techniques  I took some charc and crushed it in to dust then i took black paper and used my shoe to spread the chark by jumping on a paper creating a house then with my hands i had drawn a human face inside of  it the shoe prints resembles the constructed environment that the human are using to shield them self that's why i used my hands to draw the face to resemblance the human form.

I also finished one of my life drawings and painted it in and underlining the guide lines to see how could I connect them to the surrounding environment.

Journey thru college comic 0.2

after finalizing my comic I thought that some experimentation can help me find a better visual impact and that the viewer would interact with the comic more. so I decided to use full color(using graphic markers) in it and it turned out good  and had a nice impact so i might use this for my final peace but I still like the use of minimal color but it can be more suitable for story boards just to indicate the color of an specific  person or an object I would use that stile of coloring for story boards in future but for a comic strip full coloring is more suitable in my opinion and I shall use that type of coloring.

Journey thru college comic

I had finished my main story and had made a a comic with all seals completed and I had made some copy's of it so I can be more relaxed with the coloring after making and coloring some quick sketches  to decide what type of coloring i should use for the best visual effect and i thing that the minimum use of color worked well and I decided to use that on the comic. I still can do some different variations of it using different media or stile.

  

life drawing

On this session of life drawing we had carried on  with the use of extended guide lines to see ho the body interlinear with in the space and the things around it and i must say that i started to get a hang of it doing better the the last time i did it and I see how it can help to keep proportions and the right angles and drawing the body as it is seen not as i think it looks like. It can also good to draw the stuff around the model.

Face cast modification

I have taken the face cast i made and had to build on top of it to make an interesting mask that can but don't have to be used in my costume and i had decided to make a house face i had made a door in the nose are and cut out the eyes for the windows and also i made the roof on the top using wire framing that later i cover with plaster bandage i didn't get the chance to paint it because i need to work on my costume more. But if i had to do it again i would make sure that the structure is even. 

I took some wire and attached it on to the face cast with plaster bandage across the eyebrow area a placed the wire and putted 3 layers of plaster bandage over it and and allowed it dry to make good and stable supporting structural wire then i attache thinner wire to it to create a triangle representing a roof .

then I had extended a hole of the nose and cut out circles in the eyes to make the windows then i made door with wire and plaster bandage and attached it to the big hole where the nose was.

British values poster development

I was doing some sketches for British values and I had made a sketch that i would like develop more so I did i had made more complex sketches then i had did some recherche in the subject mater of my design and got some reference. then i did some fast drawings of the knights forms to see witch combination i would like the most

after chouseing the combination i liked the most I had developed it more had made a final drawing then I used a pen tool on Photoshop to go over the lines to make the lines smother and after that i had colored it in. after that i had copied it and flip it and had played around with selective colors to chance the color of the knight.  

and it ended up lucking like that so far I am happy with the development I will work on it more when i have accesses to illustrator to experiment with the text.
